Manufacturers Realise Opportunities from Low Carbon Energy
Low-carbon initiatives could represent a significant opportunity for the manufacturing industry according to the EEF, Engineering Employers Federation. Low-carbon products and services in the UK amount to more than £100bn a year, this is expected to grow by 5% each year to reach £150bn by 2015. The EEF has launched a programme of events to help manufacturing companies capitalise on these emerging opportunities. The programme will cover funding sources and the challenges in the low-carbon agenda, these will be presented to member companies through seminars and workshops.
