Scrappage Boosts UK Car Sales
New car sales have recorded the biggest increase in October which were boosted by the scrappage scheme. The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) said new cars registered were up by 31.6% based on the same period last year. The “cash for bangers” scheme had accounted for more than 20% of new car sales.
